You’re at a crossroads. At the cusp of, or in the messy process of navigating significant internal or external change. It’s incredibly vulnerable but powerfully freeing too.
The Brave + Beautiful Community is the space where growth-minded midlife women gather to learn and practice truly loving and trusting themselves, and what it feels like to be on their own side. They want to feel fully alive, vibrant, excited about life in every season. And they want to move at a soul-honouring pace.
They grow into their True Selves and walk in more freedom, health, and joy than they’ve ever known before. No more people-pleasing, over-functioning, neglecting their needs, being chronically hard on themselves, and distrusting their inner wisdom.
Stop waiting for “someday” to prioritize your mental and emotional wellbeing and what matters to you. This day is your real life. Choose yourself now.
Registration for Autumn Session closes TODAY!

This is the most honest, safe, real feeling community I have ever been a part of. The Brave and Beautiful Community has provided me with an opportunity to really witness myself more clearly, more honestly and with more attention to how I use language to describe my experiences, without making myself small. I have always felt different and intense in terms of how deeply I process my experiences walking this world. Krista’s leadership and her graceful nurturing of this community of women, has given me a space to walk into without feeling that I need to hide that part of myself, even from myself! I felt instantly accepted and heard, helping me on my journey to find and express who I truly am, a highly sensitive, introverted, gentle soul with a strong need to connect on deeper levels.

Join a community of brave, resilient, and empowered women who want to feel fully alive and live with intention in every season.
The Brave and Beautiful Community is the heart of my work at A Life in Progress ®. The work we do together in the Brave + Beautiful Community is about creating freeing, joyful, soul-honouring transformation in your life. Primarily, it is meant to point you inward. To help you befriend your whole self and craft a life that is true to yourself. It’s not about urgently consuming content or information.
In the B+B, you’ll come to know, love, trust, and be your True Self – and be on your own side, through a commitment to messy practice. New ideas take time to soak in. They require repetition and ongoing (imperfect) practice to take root.
More and faster isn’t better. One tiny new seed of thought, one tiny new practice, watered consistently, will put down deep roots and bear beautiful fruit in time.
→ The B+B Community offers education and coaching to help you know and love yourself and thrive in each new season of your life. Each session provides intentional resources and group calls led by mind-body-life coach, Krista O’Reilly-Davi-Digui. You’ll receive ample opportunity for support and discussion along the way.
→ The B+B Community offers several ways to receive social connection and support. Healthy community is a key part of resilience, mind-body health, life satisfaction, and joyful aging. In the community, we get to learn and grow together and also forge true, lasting friendships.
→ The skills and confidence members develop in the B+B Community benefit every area of their lives. When you learn to truly be on your own side, everything else feels lighter and easier. Members are changing their lives from the inside-out.
Life is messy. But it’s a whole lot kinder and easier when you befriend yourself and choose to be on your own side.
The relationship you have with yourself impacts every area of your life including how you feel in your body and life. Without ever changing anything external in your life, if you befriend yourself and learn to be on your own side, your inner and outer experience of life will transform in powerful, joyful, exciting ways.
You know that you want to move forward with more freedom and joy. You want to be your True Self and live a life that feels soul-honouring, joyful, free. And you know that you cannot and will not continue in the limiting, fearful, and devaluing beliefs and behaviours that brought you here.
The Hope Map below illustrates a pathway to greater freedom, wholeness, and joy. It offers you a macro view of the core themes you’ll explore as you spend time inside the Brave + Beautiful Community.
And below that you’ll find a simpler “year at a glance” of our seasonal and monthly themes.

A Year at a glance: seasonal and monthly themes

Being in the B&B community and in particular working with Krista has changed my life more profoundly than all the years of therapy, self help books, podcasts, classes, religion and more. Her guidance has helped me name and lift the chains of self abandonment to provide clarity and light in the darkness that had me stuck, self destructive and joyless. She has provided me with techniques, perspective, tools for daily practice, and new pathways of thinking to enrich understanding, interaction and connection with myself, my friends, family and clients. She has helped me see ways to “rewrite” past stories that trapped and weighed me down, thrown me an anchor of clarity during “rabbit hole” thinking, and given me to permission to feel, truth tell and make changes at my own pace. Most importantly, she has opened new pathways to “freedom” — empowerment to choose how I want to be in the world and to find joy in the uncontrollable chaos of living with other humans. I am forever grateful. ❤️
M. L.
Many members stay for years because of the ongoing benefit to their lives.
This is an example of what members can experience as they cycle deeper into the work of the B+B.
Year 1: Release + Rewild
You open your mind and heart to a new hopeful and joyful possibility. Build a loving friendship with yourself, quiet the conditioning and noise, wake up to your current beliefs and behaviours. Begin using your voice more honestly, shed what cannot take you where you want to go, and (messily) build new life-giving patterns and a new healthy foundation for the next season of your life. You recognize your wholeness.
Year 2: Remember + Re-envision
You learn to truly value yourself and be on your own side always, commit to messy, embodied practice, and put down deep roots. You give grief a voice as you remember parts of yourself that you left behind, tender parts of your story that helped form your old sense of self. Even when you feel vulnerable or meet resistance, you speak truth, release urgency, plant your feet and face shame and fear head-on, and practice feeling safety in discomfort without running or numbing. You forge a relationship with joy.
Year 3: Re-emerge + Recalibrate
Your inner voice and self-trust are clear and strong. You break through old limitations and beliefs from earlier seasons of life, lay down responsibility that was never yours to carry, and feel the shift into a new (authentic self) identity. You rekindle the fire in your belly that helps you stop tolerating bullshit, leaky boundaries, or other old devaluing or self-abandoning behaviours and you practice non-negotiable rest and soul-honouring rhythms. You’re walking in greater freedom than ever before.
Year 4: Reclaim + Rewrite
You have reclaimed your agency, you know who you really are and what you truly want, and the kind of world you want to live in. The old story (and old identity) has come to an end. Now you are writing (and living in) a new story. Noise and distraction are lessened, ease and inner peace are more consistent, and less easily shaken. You feel a strong sense of living on purpose in every season.

Allow me to guide you as you get to know, love, and trust yourself.
I’m here to guide and support you in developing new skills, feeling more resourced, joyful, and free in your body and life, and in deepening your ability to access your inner wisdom and build self-trust.
But I cannot lead where I’m not willing to go. This means that I practice alongside you and sit in circle with you. And everything I offer to you is rooted in decades of personal experience, ongoing learning, and a willingness to continue healing, becoming, and saying yes to the adventure of life. In addition, I bring 12 years of experience serving midlife women as a coach and guide to our community.
Each seasonal session of the BB includes:
- MENTORING: Gather for 90-min Mentoring + Education calls (x3/month). Krista will help you apply what you’re learning in a meaningful way. You can ask questions during the calls or in the comment section of each replay. But there’s no pressure to speak. Plus you’ll glean courage and inspiration from other members (one of the best gifts of community!) Join live, enjoy the video replays, or listen via the private podcast.
- EDUCATION: Receive monthly educational content that includes exercises, practices, and resources that help you befriend yourself (or know, love, trust, and be your True Self). Move at your pace and honest capacity.
- BRAVE COMMUNITY: A compassionate, private group off of social media. Connect in the Home Feed of our Community to receive ongoing guidance and connect with other members as you move through the year. In addition, once you’ve been a member for 3 months, you’ll have the option to join a BB Small Group to build friendships with other members.
- SEASONAL RHYTHMS + PRACTICES: Enjoy Rest + Integration Weeks woven throughout the B+B including at each seasonal break. Learn about Seasonal Living in the Foundations Course. And join in the simple new and full moon prompts, and seasonal transition calls, so you can build your own seasonal living practice.
- RESOURCE LIBRARY: Once you enter the community, you’ll receive 24/7 access to a curated Resource Library. And you’ll receive 30% off any paid workshops that are not part of the BB, as well as 30% off the Life Visioning Course.
Time Commitment + Call Schedule
Plan to engage with the Community for at least 9 weeks. This allows for breathing room so you can weave the B+B into your messy and beautiful life. The community platform and resource library are open year round, including during Rest Weeks / Seasonal Breaks.
The anchoring activity of the B + B Community is our Mentoring + Education calls.
BB members include working professionals as well as those who are retired or have more flexible schedules. We live in different countries and time zones. Joining live is NOT a requirement for a positive experience, and you can join for as few or as many live calls as you choose. Everything is recorded so you can engage with the work at your own pace.
Live call times are posted in my local time zone which is Alberta Time. I alternate call times between an earlier and a later time of day so most members, even if they don’t live in North America, can join some of the live calls. However, some members prefer replays while others like to join live calls when possible.
- Option 1: 10:30 am Alberta Time (ABT), works for people in the UK, Europe, or South Africa (this would be early evening for you).
- Option 2: 5:30 pm Alberta Time (ABT), works for folks who live in the Philippines, Australia, or New Zealand (this would be Thursday morning or afternoon for you).
Autumn Session begins Oct 12/26. Joining live is optional. Call replays are available in video and through our private BB podcast.
Please Note: Alberta Time (ABT) is a new time zone, as of November 1st, 2026. It does not observe Daylight Saving Time.

Thrive forward in every season
The Brave + Beautiful Community offers four unique sessions each year. What you learn in one session supports the next. The work we do in the BB isn’t about “quick fixes,” but about deep, powerful, sustainable shifts in how you think, feel, behave, and experience your life.
Most importantly, you will practice being a loving friend to yourself. And as your friendship with yourself becomes healthier, and you walk in greater freedom and joy, every other area of your life will be changed in beautiful ways.
Your beliefs about yourself – how you talk to and about yourself, what you believe you deserve or are capable of – this seeps into every area of your life and the world around you. What you are filled with spills over. YOU are the heart (or center) of your life. And when you are well and on your own side, your life improves.
You’re willing to invest in yourself. You have the capacity to show up and practice. You want to live with more freedom and joy now. No more waiting.
For less than the cost of a monthly 90-minute massage, you will receive coaching and compassionate community that will transform your life. You will come to truly know, love, and trust yourself, be on your own side, and live with far greater freedom, wholeness, and joy. Future you will be grateful.
Receive 2 months free when you pay in full for the year. And get 4 months free when you choose the Deep Dive option.

5 Gifts of the Brave + Beautiful Membership Community
Here are 5 gifts that you will receive from being a member.
1. You’ll Finally Give Yourself Permission to Prioritize Your Wellbeing Without Guilt
This Community helps you claim the time, space, and resources you need to care for yourself. Not as a luxury, but as essential. Members describe making “choices every day to speak more kindly to myself” and learning that “their value does not lie in performing or achieving.”
2. You’ll Build Practical Skills That Create Real, Sustainable Change
You won’t just learn about self-compassion, boundary-setting, or how to live your core values. You’ll practice them with modeling and support. The work is evidence-based and practical. As one member shared: “I’m growing healthier by leaps and bounds—recognizing boundaries, asking for help, accepting my limitations, saying no, and letting go of old beliefs.”
3. You’ll Make Steady Progress at Your Own Pace (Without Pressure or Perfectionism)
The B+B supports you in practicing consistent “imperfect-action” rooted in self-compassion. Members report “steady, tangible, visible progress without any over-the-top pressure” and feeling “empowered and proud” as they practice showing up imperfectly but on purpose.
4. You’ll Experience True Belonging with Women Who Get It
This isn’t surface-level community. In the B+B you are seen and heard, and there’s no pressure to mask or perform. As members describe it: “This community keeps you thriving and anchored” and “feels like coming home.”
5. You’ll Transform How You See and Show Up for Yourself
This is where the deepest work happens as you practice being on your own side. Your experience of life will not be the same as it was before participating in the B+B Community. Members describe feeling “immensely empowered,” and a life “filled with much happiness and joy.”
FAQs: The Brave + Beautiful Community
Who is the B+B best suited for?
My work centers around the needs and experiences of women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. Some women in their early 70s also feel right at home here. I can help you discern if the community is a great-fit for you - book a free chat with me to discuss.
The content is a mix of evidence-base, inspiration, and practical application. If you’re a growth-minded and/or curious human, or a questioner, you’ll probably love it here.
As member Valerie writes, “for people who like to learn, there is nothing better. Krista’s work and exercises are an amazing combination of science-based research and her extensive reading and education into personal growth.”
I’m a strong introvert, a Highly Sensitive Person, and stubborn questioner with rebel leanings. I'm an ISFJ (often mistaken for an IN) and an Enneagram 1. Freedom, integrity, and curiosity are my top three values.
Brave + Beautiful Community members come from different corners of the world and include medical professionals, academics, coaches, creatives, entrepreneurs, and more.
Many members (not all) are highly sensitive or non-hustlers (or have paid the cost of hustle-culture) seeking an intentional, sustainable, or soul-honouring life.
Is the B+B an inclusive space?
I want to help create a kinder, safer world that does a far better job of honouring the beauty of diversity in its varied shapes and forms instead of trying to squish us all into a joy-crushing and sometimes life-threatening box. I believe in the incredible beauty of and need for diversity.
My work focuses on the needs and experiences of women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. Some women join in their late 30s and others stay into their early 70s.
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community who relate to and feel the work we do in the B+B Community will serve them are welcome.
Content is offered as a mix of audio/video/print materials. Closed captioning is available during live Zoom calls and on video replays.
Many members are highly sensitive or neurodivergent.
My husband is West-African, an immigrant to Canada, English is his third language, our children biracial, and I come from a multi-cultural family. I am committed to anti-racism and culturally responsive work. I'm always learning and in progress.
Two of my kids are/were bisexual (I share this with permission). Several other members also have kids who belong to the LGBTQIA+ community or otherwise don't fit and neat and tidy into the tiny prescribed boxes of our culture. This isn't a group about parenting, but we get to bring our full selves, experience, and values to the table.
Spirituality or faith is important to many B+B members. Others are disentangling themselves from cultural and religious conditioning to walk in greater freedom, health and joy.
The BB is a weight-neutral space but I do not have formal training in this area. We don't believe that freedom, wholeness, or joy comes from squishing ourselves into a one-sized-fits-all (soul-crushing) box. Some members have eating disorders and I have a past of disordered eating. Because we talk about cultural conditioning and learning to feel safe, at home, and joyful in our bodies and lives, at times the conversation may include mention of building a safe and trusting friendship with our Self (including our body) and members may mention their personal experience or struggle.
I'm navigating grief/ trauma/ struggle. Should I join?
That depends.
I encourage all members to build a healthy support system - we need social support and social connection for wellbeing. Many community members have a therapist as well as other forms of mental-emotional-physical support in their circle of support. I model and encourage this.
However, if you're in crisis or in the first 12-18 months of a traumatic loss, the B+B is not a right-fit. Likewise, if you are extremely low capacity or in a highly activated state most of the time. In these situations, I lovingly encourage you to prioritize professional care that is specific to your experience/needs. For example, this might include trauma therapy, a grief circle or grief coaching, and possibly medical care.
Many members are learning to honour their wiring and capacity as they live with chronic mental or physical health challenges or care for family members who struggle with their mental and/or physical health. Many have a history of trauma or loss including suicide loss; my son died by suicide in 2019. I offer grief and trauma-informed mentoring and education. However, this is not a space for delving into individual experiences of trauma and grief.
How much time is required? What if my life feels busy?
Life is full. A common issue amongst midlife women is self-abandonment or neglecting our needs while pouring out for everyone else. You can absolutely make space for the BB in your full (or even busy) life though you'll need to prioritize your wellbeing and intentionally make and guard the space on your calendar.
Having said that, you are welcome to join even if all you do is attend the live calls or listen to replays. This alone will make a positive difference in your life. I feel confident saying this after 6 years of running this community.
You can’t fall behind. Everything is designed around real life: replays, private podcast, seasonal rhythms, and built-in rest weeks. Engage at the speed of safety. Consistency—not intensity—creates the transformation.
You are encouraged to pick and choose which of the exercises feel most interesting to you. You don't have to do every single exercise.
We celebrate small steps and imperfect action here.
If you have capacity for calls plus some exploration/reflection, commit to 2.5-3 hours most weeks, or 25-35 hours/session, spread out according to your lifestyle and capacity.
If you commit to staying with us at least a year, you'll be able to go deeper into the work, slow and steady. If you know you're only staying one session, you might want to dedicate more time upfront.
For members who have greater capacity and freedom in the season you're in, you can easily do more and deep dive into the module, the podcast, and the Resource Library.
Do I get 1:1 Access to Krista?
When you join the Brave + Beautiful Community you do not get 1:1 access to Krista.
If this is what you're looking for, you can choose 1:1 coaching instead of the Community. Or, the Deep Dive Option combines the B+B Community with private coaching sessions.
Krista leads the live mentoring + education calls and engages in the online community several times a week to offer reflection prompts, answer your questions, and read your key takeaways.
When are the calls and what if I can't join live?
Joining live is not essential; calls are recorded. You can listen to replays through our private podcast or watch the video replays inside our online community.
Some people love joining live calls while others prefer to listen/watch to the replays at their own pace. I often prefer replays.
DOWNLOAD THE SCHEDULE: the PDF is available under the Call Schedule heading.
Coaching + Education Calls
I live in North America. Weekly mentoring calls are on Wednesdays. These 90-minute calls alternate between 10:30 am Alberta Time (evening in European & African time zones) and 5:30 pm Alberta Time (Thursday morning or afternoon in Asia-Pacific time zones ). While most members are in North America, I've welcomed many members from the southern hemisphere as well as from the UK and Europe.
Most people can make at least some of the calls live, if they want to.
You are truly welcome to pop in for even part of the calls, bring a meal, keep your camera on or off - whatever allows you to join in, when you want to.
Notes
Alberta Time does not observe Daylight Saving Time. If you’re in a region that does your local call time will shift by one hour when your clocks change.
- There are extra/optional calls offered and they vary in day and time. For example, the (optional) monthly connection call is currently held on a Friday at 2 pm MT.
What's your refund policy? Do you offer scholarships?
I don't offer refunds so it's important to be mindful about your choice to join.
To create a felt-sense of safety for all members, I don't offer month-to-month membership. As such, when you join, you do so with a minimum three-month (one season) commitment.
If you aren’t sure about joining, you can schedule a free zoom chat with me or take a workshop to get to know my voice and personality, read more of my writing, read about my path, or listen to my podcast. I also encourage you to read some of the testimonials of other members (see the bottom of this page).
If you’d like the savings of a longer-term commitment (2 months free when you pay for the full year) but want to start with the 3‑month minimum, I offer a three-week upgrade runway.
This means that you can join for 3 months if that feels most comfortable to you, participate for a while to make sure you love it, and then in the first three weeks upgrade to a longer-term commitment. This lets you take advantage of the cost-savings and other benefits of a full-year (or full year plus coaching) commitment without urgency.
Partial Scholarships
10%+ of the spaces in the B+B are offered through partial scholarships. These are based on an honour system. If you take a spot that you could pay full price for, this is preventing someone else from receiving the support they truly need. The minimum scholarship amount is $61 USD/mos. But I invite you to offer an amount in between $61 and the regular price of $125 according to your financial ability.
Partial scholarship spaces are NOT available every session since members often stay longer than one session. If space is open this will be indicated in the pricing and registration area. You're always welcome to email me and ask.
Partial scholarship spaces are NOT available for people choosing not to exercise their earning power, living off of savings, in university or studying, launching a new therapy or coaching practice, retired with a pension or investments, those who own their home, or have money for travel, etc.
What are the tech requirements for joining?
You need an internet connection, email address, an electronic device (preferably an iPad, laptop, or desktop), and a notebook, pen, and binder to collect resources (if you choose to print them).
You'll want a way to save the materials (for example, you might want to save everything in a google folder). Access to a printer is helpful though not a requirement.
There's an app for your phone, for both iOS and Android. Some find the community easier to use/navigate on a laptop or desktop. It depends on your comfort level. It's nice to have both.
We use Zoom for calls and workshops. Closed captioning of live calls and on video replays is available.
For members who like audio replays, we have a private podcast. You can subscribe and listen on your favourite podcast player just like any other podcast. Or you have the option of watching video replays inside the community.
The B+B is hosted off of social media, on a platform called Circle. Social media is not used as apart of the BB Community.
You will receive a weekly email that includes reminders of what's coming that week and a link to listen to the previous audio replay. The weekly email also includes the core content we're working on that week; you can download and print directly from the email.
Once you're a member, you can watch a short video that shows you where to find things in the community. And there's a community support person available to help you out if you get stuck or can't find something.
I have a different question. Can I talk to you?
Absolutely. Reach out here and we'll set up a time to talk.

I have been a member of Krista’s Brave and Beautiful community for over two years, and it has become one of the anchor points in my life. Regardless of how busy/stressful life is, it is a community I know I can return to pressure-free, to connect with women at all stages of life (…) For people who like to learn, there is nothing better. Krista’s work and exercises are an amazing combination of science-based research and her extensive reading and education into personal growth. In a word, I would describe the B and B community as a place of richness—of endless opportunities to grow and explore, and in connections with like-minded women.
V.G.
This community gave me permission to put myself first without guilt. You don’t have to be perfect or have it all figured out to fit in – just showing up is enough. It’s a safe place to be honest about what’s hard and to be celebrated for even the smallest wins. You’ll find women here who understand the tenderness of midlife and who are rooting for you. It’s not about doing more, it’s about learning to live with intention and compassion.
T.M.
Krista in an amazing teacher, mentor and model for living life on purpose, and it doesn’t hurt that she is enthusiastic about rest and giving yourself a break. I have learned so much from Krista and from finding myself through practicing with this community. The BB is an opportunity to return to focusing on the basics of taking care of me. I love when we return to the same building blocks (fundamental concepts/ worksheets) because it helps me understand that this is not complicated overwhelming work filled with lots of skills I have to master. It’s a steady process of turning toward and relearning the basics of being me in this world.
L.P.
I am truly enjoying the Brave & Beautiful Community and I am so glad that I joined for an entire year. I didn’t realize how much my self-critic was driving my life. I just really felt seen and heard from the start and perhaps that has been my favorite part, the thing I needed most. I joined this community for the skill building, mentoring and education to dive deep within myself to excavate the emotions I have stuffed down into myself over the years. What I didn’t realize when I joined is that I would find a community of like minded women my age that are going through some of the same struggles that I am.
B. C.
I want to thank Krista for literally opening up my world. I joined the B&B Community at a time when my anxiety and chronic health issues were my entire life, and my “real life” was going to start after I was “fixed”. Well after being in this group for over a year, my health issues and anxiety are still a part of my life but no longer my whole world. Krista’s wisdom has changed the way I move in the world. Using imperfect action, and knowing that I’m not broken, and that healing takes place in community, has made this last year my most joyous and grounded year that I’ve had in over a decade.
R.F.
My relationship with myself is still a work in progress, but I’d say that I’m learning how tired I am, how overworked I am, and how little respect I’ve shown for my capacity, limits and wiring. The biggest growth area for me has been boundaries. To someone who wants change but is nervous about joining… The B+B can be as much or as little as you want it to be. It can be super low commitment if all you do is watch the replays and never take a single note. And it can be total life transformation if you really dig in deep and commit to all the replays, workshops and exercises. It’s a warm, gentle, compassionate and honest group of women who are all growing together. I’ve been so amazed by how ‘here for me’ people have been. It really is a community. It’s the community I didn’t realize I wanted and needed. I’m so grateful to be here.
M.W.
After retiring last June, I started paying more attention to topics I found interesting, one of which was the B+B community and the idea of seasonal living. I rather impulsively (for me!) decided to join and then paid for a whole year! I am enjoying the modules and articles and exercises very much. I am actually doing the work, spending the time to think through my life and experiences that have made me who I am. I like attending the Zoom calls and hearing feedback from other strong women who are coming into their own, working through difficult situations and discovering their strengths. I am very happy to have found you and this community you have started.
