Many midlife women feel bad, wrong, broken, or never good enough. My coaching process helps them quiet all the noise, Befriend their True Selves, and practice a soul-honouring way of being in their body and life so they (re)claim freedom, health and joy.
While always in progress and learning, I’m committed to a culturally responsive, trauma and grief-informed, compassionate practice. Compassion creates felt sense of safety so we can create sustainable, healthy change in our lives. And as A.H. Almaas writes, “only when compassion is present will people allow themselves to see the truth.”
My clients are curious humans in the middle season of life. They include therapists, physicians, educators, researchers, pastors, coaches, creatives, and more. Many are highly sensitive, parenting kids who don’t fit ‘into the box’ (and don’t want to!), or navigating grief, chronic illness, or healthy yet vulnerable life transitions. In every case, they’re ready to strip away the noise of self-judgment, trying to keep up or measure up, and the old stories and conditioning that no longer serves them.

Working with Krista one-on-one has been a deeply enriching process. While I have been focusing on various areas of personal growth for some time, there was nothing like one-on-one coaching to put my thinking into perspective, and to identify stories and hang-ups I wasn’t even aware I had about myself! Through coaching, Krista has given me very specific strategies to deal with the stress points that recur in my life. She has taught me to identify where my thinking may distort reality and how, being aware of both my physiological responses and my inner dialog, to make these situations no longer blocks in my life. I feel that I have moved from a place of feeling “blocked” to a feeling of empowerment, where I can move forward in my life in a way that embraces who I really am.

Compassionate, trauma + GRIEF-aware, Evidence-Based mind-body Support
Welcome! All of you is welcome here. I’m Krista (she/her), Writer, Holistic Mind-Body Coach + Joyful Living Educator.
The journey of “becoming” more fully ourselves, befriending our true selves, and handcrafting a brave, joyful, and purposeful life that honours our wiring and the full truth of who and how we are can feel messy and vulnerable.
Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl wrote “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” I’ve held tight to this truth for years as I’ve done (and continue to practice) my own brave healing and growth work. And I offer this truth up for consideration to my clients also.
Life is complex and there are no magic pills – but we can take responsibility for what we can control and dive in fully to the life in front of us. We can bring compassion and deeper understanding to our current behavioural and emotional patterns, and our cultural and personal narratives, while expanding our capacity for new ways of being and engaging in the world.
I believe that you are the expert on your life. I will come alongside to question, encourage, hold space, and gently challenge you as I offer tailored mind-body support, and as you do the work to unearth the truth of who you are and what you want, remember how to trust yourself, and walk out your Voice + Vision for this season of life. Many clients express that as they work with me they experience “a homecoming.”

My work is for:
freedom-seekers, truth-tellers, and stubborn questioners,
highly sensitive souls, slow-movers, and non-hustlers,
the anxious, grieving, weary, and healing,
reforming people-pleasers, perfectionists, performers, and peace-keepers,
brave, messy, and curious humans ready to quiet the conditioning and noise to (re)claim freedom, wholeness, and joy.
gather in your support system: mind-body support for midlife women seeking freedom, health, and joy
I’m a big believer in the importance of gathering in our support system and prioritizing our mind-body-emotional health as an act of self-compassion and also so that we can show up fully to life, love others well, and use our voice, resources, and personal strengths in an intentional and impactful way. It is wise and brave to ask for and receive mind-body support!
My client calls are primarily scheduled for Wednesday and Friday (northern hemisphere) or Thursday and Saturday mornings (southern hemisphere). Private coaching spaces are limited and I’m usually booking several weeks out (in some cases a couple months out) so as soon as you’re ready we’ll get you onto my calendar and I’ll give you a bit of work to complete before we meet for our first session.

I am just emerging from a very difficult chapter of life and kind of felt like a shell of myself. I signed up for coaching with Krista. Our work together was subtle, gentle, and powerful. Krista has helped me to observe without judgment, reflect, evaluate, and identify how I relate to life. I feel more settled. And confident. And self-aware. I, myself, am a clinical counsellor and life coach. And I found immense benefit from working with Krista. Her open and honest demeanor, well-earned wisdom, and gentle approach allowed me the space to unfurl.

mind-Body support for a brave and beautiful life
There are many paths to wholeness, many routes to a beautiful life. I take an individualized approach to all of my work. I’ll help you build resilience skills, learn to name the truth of what you want and need for wholeness and joy, honour your wiring and capacity in practical ways, and build a trusting friendship with yourself. In this way, you will be empowered to show up fully to life in every season – even the hardest of them.
What does the process of working together look, sound, feel like?
Step One: You respond to a set of pre-consult questions, and one or two other assessments where applicable. This pre-work serves as a powerful exercise in self-awareness for you and helps me get to know you, your goals, and your unique needs and life circumstances. It also saves you hours of paid consult time. I use this to get a good sense of how to offer tailored mind-body support.
Step Two: We meet for a 90-minute consult and then shift to 60-minute consults via Zoom. Together, we clarify a road map for where you want to go and some of the skills and areas of education or support that will take you there. You are always in the driver’s seat so while I show up to each session prepared, we remain responsive to your needs and how you’re feeling each step of the way.
Step Three: If it feels good, you walk away with 1-5 action steps at the end of each consult. This is an opportunity to practice new ways of being and to apply what you’re learning in real-time. You also get two weeks of support after each consult using Voxer (a free voice messaging app) or email so you feel heard, seen, and compassionately supported along the way.
In these sessions we take a holistic perspective, addressing mind (ex. self-compassion, beliefs/internal narratives, befriending the inner critic), emotions (ex. emotional literacy, sitting with discomfort, making space for grief + joy), body (ex. somatic work, gut health, nervous system regulation), lifestyle (ex. courageous relationships, boundaries, sense of purpose), environment, and faith or spirituality where applicable to help you more fully express your true self and handcraft a life that feels like home.

I reached out to Krista for coaching at a burnt-out and stuck moment in my life when it felt like everything I had tried to re-inspire and re-energize myself had failed. With unusual compassion and insight, she was able to help me see the ways I was being less than kind with myself. She helped me notice and name hurtful beliefs that I had lived with for so long I didn’t even recognize they were there. She helped me rewrite how I approach my identity, work with my strengths and wiring, and find fresh vision and clarity for my life. The empathy, wisdom, and tools Krista brought to our conversations, the level of responsiveness and support, and the unwavering message of compassion and belief that she consistently communicated helped me find the door to a new season of my life.

Who Am I to Help?
As a Holistic Mind-Body Health Practitioner, Certified Grief Educator, Somatic Embodiment Coach, and Holistic Nutritional Consultant, I offer compassionate, grief and trauma-informed, evidence-based coaching and education, along with hard-fought wisdom, to women+ from different corners of the world who feel a little beat up by life, tired of the status quo, and ready to do the stretching work required to walk in greater freedom, wholeness, and joy.
I pull from multiple threads of study and exploration to inform my work: mindfulness counselling strategies, self-awareness (personality, identity, neurodivergence+) and self-compassion work, resilience building, somatic embodiment work that influences relationship to self, others, and the natural world, nervous system regulation and Polyvagal theory, functional nutrition and holistic mind-emotion-body health, sustainable and seasonal living and cycle awareness, grief and trauma education, and more.
But my most valuable credential, by far, no matter what skill or goal I’m helping my clients work toward, is that I walk my talk. I consider myself a Fellow Sojourner, in the thick of it, practicing with you, hands-dirty, heart-open, doing the messy, soul-stretching work to thrive, love myself well, contribute to the world in meaningful ways, and walk in freedom.
I’m a (mind-body health, grief, and somatic embodiment) educator and coach. My support is not offered to diagnose, treat, heal, cure, or prescribe for any medical condition.

Of all the programs I’ve been involved in (and there are many), yours is the most practical and makes the most sense to me because you touch on the somatic and the mind-heart-spirit. You bring together everything I’ve ever wanted to know about self-growth. I’m so glad that I found you.

I am so glad I made the decision to invest in coaching calls with Krista. Right from the start, Krista was engaged and supportive. She understood me and what I needed (even when I didn’t) and had practical tools and suggestions that I’d never come across before, but which really made the difference. Krista challenged my thinking and yet validated my right to be just who I am. In a world that rarely extends such a courtesy, the difference this has made is life-changing. I have come out of our sessions with a far greater understanding of myself, my needs, my desires, and, most importantly, a far greater love and respect for myself.
