A Life in Progress is a podcast that offers a mix of evidence-based education through a grief and trauma-informed lens, inspiration and story, and practical application to help women (re)claim freedom, health, and joy in every season. Even the hardest of them.
I offer my words and work as a writer, holistic mind-body coach, joyful living educator, and as a messy human who has gained wisdom in the fire. I’m a highly sensitive person, life partner of 29 years, and a proud mama of 3 wise and creative humans, including my son who died by suicide in 2019. I know what it takes to make space for joy amid the messiness of life.
There is wisdom and beauty to be mined in every season but this does not mean that life will or ‘should’ feel easy or delightful all the time. Being human can be hard work. My work focuses on women’s experiences as we arrive at and step through the Midlife Crossroad.
A lot of our pain or suffering comes from ‘bumping up against the reality of life’ and judging ourselves as bad, wrong, or broken, or assuming we’re doing life wrong. When we share our stories we break shame and judgment about simply being human in a messy world, and we build brave and growth-minded community. We lift each other up.
This podcast has been on a low simmer for years until I had the energetic and emotional capacity to get started. I’m in a season of rest and recalibration until July 2023 – learn when the first episodes are live by signing up for email updates!
See you there,
Krista xo
