Inside: You can learn to embrace your gifts as an HSP! Learning about the trait of sensory processing sensitivity changed my life. I realized that I was not broken or wrong but a highly sensitive human navigating a messy world without much support or understanding of how my brain and nervous system are wired. This post includes referral links.
You’re an HSP? Your Heightened Sensitivity is not a problem to be fixed. It’s a beautiful gift.
If you’re not sure yet whether or not you’re a highly sensitive person, take this quiz to find out.
I love who and how I am but for much of life I felt bad, wrong, or broken. I was only 10 years old the first time I felt and thought to myself that the world was too heavy for me. Or, perhaps more accurately, that I was not cut out for this world.
When I learned about the trait of high sensitivity in my early 30s, my life changed powerfully for the better. I’m not sure I’d be alive today otherwise.
About 20% of the population is highly sensitive. We are beautifully knit-together (on purpose!) with the trait of sensory processing sensitivity. This part of who and how we are plays a significant role in how we feel and navigate the world. Additionally, learning about this trait helps us make sense of our lived experience and bring compassion to our story.
It took me a lot of years and a whole lot of hard work to come to the realization that I am not bad, wrong, or broken, but a highly sensitive human in a messy and noisy world. Understanding this part of my True Self and my story is one of the top 7 tools/resources that changed my life and helped me love myself completely and show up fully to life in every season. Next is a course on Exploring The Enneagram. Additionally, I’m available in the group to respond to your questions as you work through the courses or at anytime while you’re a member. lEARN how to work with your high SENSITIVITY and embrace your gifts as an hsp
Of course, I’d love you to connect with me and my work; my work will help you befriend yourself whether you’re an HSP or not. However, if you want to specifically focus your learning in this season on understanding your sensitivity, you may want to look at the work of Sensitivity Specialist, and my friend, Julie Bjelland.
There’s a lot of crossover between our work and while about 75% of my community is highly sensitive, my work offers a broader education to help midlife women embrace their gifts and love who and how they are wired.
Julie has created more in depth online courses to help Highly Sensitive People understand and nourish themselves well. I can wholeheartedly recommend Julie as a wise and compassionate guide.
